About This is the view from The Rialto Bridge in the heart of Venice. The lens flare is a problem on this image but of the eight that I took, this has the nicest composition and light on the buildings. I used five stops of soft ND grad filters angled to cover the brightly lit buildings on the left to balance them against the shaded ones on the right and to tone down the sun. Although the filtering is visible on this one, I like the effect.

Carsten, you're quite right, this was taken at 12mm on my Nikon 12-24 lens! I selected the wrong lens from the drop down list. Cheers.

Awesome lighting, clever idea the NDs on the left side. What I like even more is the diagonal composition with the lines leading the eyes (is it really a tele shot ? looks more like wide angle perspective)

Nice sunset image.
I like the warm lighting and the tones given to the photo with the filters... I like it this way.
I think you can adjust the tones and lighting of the buildings with PS by adjusting the levels.
Good work Barry,
Khaled.

I like the soft evening light in this shot which renders a different depth to the canal and its beautiful banks !
