PSP is just my preference. I found it easier to use than PS and I liked the framing and masking.
Here's a good site to read reviews on Adobe Elements 3.0. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/adobeelements3/
To me PSP gives me the best of both worlds... It's free to try for 60 days... http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3/Products/Display&pid=1047023911984 Peter

That's why I don't use Photoshop... Too expensive and the learning curve is too large. I use PaintShop Pro 9 and it does almost as much as PS, maybe more and it's so much more easy and there are so many free workshops on the WEB. Also it uses predesigned frames and masks that are free all over the WEB... PSP is so good Corel bought Jasc who made PSP...

that is great. looks like somekind of wall sculpture. I wish I could find all the ways of doing things in my ps but can seem to do much. no place to get lessons around here.

Thanks for your wonderful comment James. It actually wasn't hard. I use PrintShop Pro and one of it's features is the ability to use predesigned frames, the frame was some one elses. I just cropped the image to a square, used clerify level 5, Gamma Correction and curves for Brightness and Contrast changes and Unsharp Mask default to improve sharpness. I used the magic wand to outline the seed to cut and later paste back after the frame was overlayed on the flower. I plan to use this technique in some other photos.
Thanks again for your comment. Peter

Great work Peter, the amount of effort gone into creating this image from the original must have been immense. I really like how the frame completely changes how the viewer sees it, not just as a dandelion. Superb and thanks.

Peter, I know how you feel, PSP is fun to play with! Your inventiveness is inspiring. This one pixelates a bit though... I've noticed that with some of the frames.
You mentioned in another post that you download frames a lot... can you point me in that direction? I am especially interested in the fade/soft type. Amy
