Thanks again Mike. This pict stood still for a couple of month before I decided to work on it. I tried to give it an abstract and hard look, a sort of "petal metal".

I never really know what to say about a flower picture, after all most of them are beautiful & I suppose that's why we photograph them. This picture sets a mood especially with the color of the backround & the flower itself becomes more & more interesting the more I see all the lines in the bloom . Very nice close-up Mon Ami

Another great red, Christian. Compared to the other one however, something is missing for my taste. It's probably the pollen tubes, which give the other picture this littel extra feeling, which makes it outstanding.

Regards, Markus

Glad you're not mad at me for messing and halving your pic. No idea how to upload attachments any more (!), also my copy had more copper tones to it...odd....

Just as I was fiddling myself, you come up with this one ! Just very close to what I was aiming at.

Thank you Audrey for your wise and sharp comment. I really appreciate.
I had this image for some time now and was kept from posting it by its oversaturation, thus the title as the red channel is bleeding out. But then, I started to see it differently, liking it's transfiguration into something that is evocative of metal work.

Hi there, has anyone told you that you have a kind soul? The micro details on the peals are perfect, the bright burning colours bothers a bit, but that's just boring me, take no notice.....'cold abstraction 1' is a gem Christian.
