About A Child's Fantasy

Remember when you were a child
and on the grass you lay.
To look up into the sky
and at the clouds you gazed.

Did you ever see a horse,
a cat or maybe an elephant too?
Or the ugly duckling that changed
into a swan from the zoo?

The clouds became your friends
as colours from a rainbow merged.
To bring you a fantasy,
that took you off this earth.

These visions are still up there,
looking down on you.
Just waiting for the moment,
that you make those dreams anew.

So lie down on the grass,
tomorrow if you can.
And look up and see the sky,
you'll see your friends from back then.

Of course, Judi.
I think the same.
There must be a place for the strangest creatures.
And not only for childs.

Thanks Ez. I know the devil is probably not what most people would include in a childs fantasy...but realistically, it is in a childs thoughts. So I felt it would be an injustice not to include it.

Judi: I see a Demon in the upper right side. That is ideal for child`s fantasy.
What a beautiful red sea !
Marvelous.

Thankyou so much Nour. I intentionally did the symmetrical work to compliment the image. I too don't like them overpowering.

the colors are great, and alot of work in the sky, making it flipped symmetrical with sub symmetries, i usually don't like this kind of work with PS, but because it is not very distracting here, i like it

Hi Judy. Sorry I missed this one. This is my kind of photography. Really like it. I have a shot from a place my sister and I used to play as kids (can't remember, did I tell you her name was Judy also?) that I plan on uploading soon. It is very surral looking, but full of a lot of memories. She died an untimely death when she was only 40 and left behind 5 kids. Very trajic. Anyway I had a computer crash about a week ago. I tried, but was unable to fix it so I ordered a new mtherboard and processor. . . motherboard was DOA. UHG!!! In the meantime I using my son's computer to log on whenever he's not using it which is very seldom. Not ignoring anyone, just difficult to get online right now.

Interesting use of mirroring to fill the dramatic sky - it has created interesting patterns - almost subliminal.

"And look up and see the sky,
you'll see your friends from back then."
I looked up - and saw a bear and a devil. Do you see them too?

Thank you for your kind words about my "Fantasy in green", my "I dream of Budapset" and my "Doubledoll."

There are so many programs I get confused there...

Larry, as you know I do a lot of Photo Art. Some of those files can reach 750meg in size. They are to big for PSP to handle, so I have to use PS. PS has a lot more grunt in that area, but a lot of the time I am transferring individual layers over to PSP to work on them in there as I find some of PSP's tools a lot more preferrable over PS. This particular image was only 6 layers and therefore easy handling in PSP. I did one image the other week that had over 60 layers. I am not sure how many as I stopped counting. And when those images are around 8000 x 7000 in size it can get pretty heavy going.

Didi, in our mother tongue theres a legand of the PARASHPATHAR, a stone which turns all metal into gold when it comes to contact with one. I think your style of photography is like that stone. Any picture you take or any piece of art you make turns into gold.

Powerful use of gradients and mirroring, Judi.
Wonderful sentiment as well.

And yes, I DO still see shapes and not only enjoy them, but share them with my sons. My mother taught me the joy of sunsets, and the exquisite feeling that can come over you when you find and smell a wonderful flower on a walk. I am consciously working to share that appreciation for life and it's ever-changing observations with my boys.
