About This VW van has been sitting in a field and I've been waiting for an opportunity to shoot it. Someone finally moved it near the road and made my task a little easier. I don't know why, but sometimes the old, beat-up things I see are more interesting than the new. I suppose that's how God sees us, even with a few bumps and bruises, He can see still beauty in us.

I thought about posting this in b/w, but then it wouldn't show all the attempts to re-paint it.

It's well used but surely someone wants to restore it. I really like your frame too, with its matching colors.

Probably would have a lot of stories to tell. Looks like it has seen better days. Great picture. Don.

Debby I love the way you have framed this, it makes me smile and put me in mind of an 'estate agent' description. If they see the nice 'decoration' they wont notice the faults. I don't think I explained that very well, I really like it and I think you were right to keep to colour, it is fascinating to notice all the different colours/attempts to 'make good', etc

Armando, Thanks for your comments. Believe it or not, when I was a little girl, my family of 5 children and 2 adults all rode around in a VW bug. We even picked-up 2 other adults for church. What a site it was when we all started unloading from that little car.

You must have a very interesting life of travel, crossing the rivers and going up the mountains. Thanks again for sharing your story. God Bless You. -- Debby

Excellent picture and details.
This is an old VW Combi, is an excellent car until now, you know that I have traveled all my country from the coast until the jungle in one like this? crossing rivers going up mountains without road as if it was a 4x4 hahaha!!!! I sold it more than 10 years ago to a near store to my house and they still use it to bring merchandise and it can continue working more for many years.
Now, after having had many 4x4 between Jeep and suzuki, I have an old VW German bug of the year 1970 that it takes me economically to where I want, hahaha!!! I attach you a picture so that you see it
Congratulations and God bless you
