Very nice winter shot, i love the tree standing there lonely in the winter desert .. its shadow is adding perspective in the shot .. the colours and tone are very good .. contrast is right on !

You are not the first to critisize the sharpening. And to be honest, I also think I overdid it. But I'm here to learn, and hopefully will do.

Cheers, Markus

Yes ! A jewel ! Pure and simple, soundly composed ( the line of the shadow and the tracks run toward the declining horizon ). If I may be picky, I just feel it is a bit oversharpened. Else, ouf ! Just pure awe.

Markus, a very pleasing photo. Simple and effective. Lovely contrasts, lovely blue sky, the tree is placed just right, and good use of negative space. The shadow helps a great deal to make the photo work. I may have cropped a little off the foreground (the footmarks somehow distract slightly). Nonetheless a great shot.

Superb image - I actually like the sharpness as for me it helps emphasise the cold starkness of the scene.
