About This is a shot taken from the "One Thousand and One Nights" sound and light show in one of the contemporary touristic attractions in Hurghada - Red Sea.

The sight of the dancers with the lighting effects were truely mesmerizing.

This image was captured using a tripod but I intentionally slowed down the shutter speed to have this effect as a result :)

Only some contrast adjustment with PS.

Camera settings: 4 sec - f/5.6.

The slow speed did its effect beautifully, the blue wish colour give a relax atmosphere and the movement created an interesting ghostly image, superb work.Saeed

Khaled, to me those looked like they might be 'stuck' pixels (more accurate than 'hot') All digital cameras' CCDs have a number of pixels that are always on when you take a photo, even if little or no light is reaching them. This is most noticeable on dark areas and in long exposures. When you zoom in on the ones in this photo, you'll see that they are basically one pixel each (with a slight effect on surrounding pixels.) You can test for this by shooting a long exposure (make it the same as this shot) at 100 or 200 ISO with the lens cap ON - make sure you have auto ISO and auto sharpening turned OFF and be in manual mode or aperture priority so that you are sure to get the long exposure. Then download and study the 'black' image - if I'm right, you should see those same bright pixels in the same places (and maybe more!) Of course, all that said, there's not much you can do about it except clone them out on the computer - you'll only notice them in certain circumstances.
I'd be curious to know what you find!

Hi Dirck,
Thanx man for your nice and supportive comments.
What do you mean with those hot spots, I think they're lights in the show, do you think they're something else?
I used tripod in this image and I intentionally slowed down the shutter speed, what's your explanation if I'm wrong?
My best regards dear Dirck,
Khaled.

Hi Kareem,
Thanx my friend for your concern and advice, but I want to tell you something, this shot was captured with a tripod (acutally a BIG tripod), but intentionally I slowed down the shutter speed coz I wanted it to give this effect of motion.
It was captured with a shutter speed of 4 sec just to give this effect, and as you can see these hot spots in the background are lights that are so sharp and not blurred and this proves that it was on a tripod ;0)
Thanx again Kareem, best regards and may God be with our brothers and sisters in Palestine,
Khaled.

I think you should buy a tripod, not heavy one, a light one made of Aluminium, I bought one from Ukraine, there they are quiet sheap, It is 45cm and 600gr, when I open it, it is 130 cm long! and it is well made, you took this photo holding the camera in your hand, it is like ghost almost. You can use the tripod for creative shots at night, like the movement of the traffic, I want to tell you also they can cheat easily in tripods, I got something new, I think you will like it. this site is good, but for images photo.net is so neat, I saw the photos there, I felt I know nothing about this world.

Best wishes my friend ya masrawi :)
Kareem

What happened in lebanon is ugly, I don't want to say anything about muslims, because I know some very good ones, but something wrong is happening....In Iraq also, they cut heads, I can't imagin it.
