About
While I personally have no use for our officially sanctioned, mass marketed, soulless holidays, I do appreciate the innocence of childhood, precisely because it is the antithesis of these coorporate shams. Reed was exploring an abandoned house on his family's land and I was shooting away, trying to capture these spontaneous moments, when he found this old card. I asked him to hold it out for me and this is the image that resulted.
Forget the chocolates, the jewlery, the rows of cheezy cards at the Big Box store, and try, just try, one holiday at a time to do something real. Only together can we reclaim our collective spirits. Just my Valentines rant.
