The thumbnail, although good, doesn't do this justice Don. When opened the POW factor jumps out and hits ya. Beautifully exposed capture. Well done. Den

A lovely flower composition, Don. The natural background is wonderful with this flower. The framing is also complementary for this subject. Well done! Best wishes, Larry

Hi Mike, We looked this up in a desert wildflower book and it is named Chicory. I don't know anything about it. There is not a lot of it around, just saw it the first time the other day. I know in the dictionary it says a blue flower. Maybe it has gotten bleached out from growing in the desert?????. Thanks for commenting. Don.

I'm interested in this flower Don. The chickory I'm used to seeing around here is blue, grows out of control on the roadsides, & came over from Europe. [Hardly a delicate flower] Is this white one about the same size as the blue & was it used for the same thing? A coffee substitute or flavoring. Really sharp picture, looks better than what you see in the field guides.
