About A freind has some antiques and this one was interesting, trying to figure out what some of the tools and gadjets were for. Lit with a 500w hot light and fill flash

The lighting works really well here. The warm light has picked up the warm tones in the wood creating a nostalgic mood and showing all the imperfections and marks up well really adding to it's age and appeal.

Thanks.

Hi Del, glad I could "bring back a memeory"! This thing was really dirty and full of dust and junk. We had a good time cleaning it outr and figuring out what some of the odd tools were, some we still don't know what they were for! The hand Auger in the lower corner of the top[ tray was still pretty good and I bored a nice clean hole with it. They worked pretty hard for their money in those days for sure, talk to you soon, Cary

Yes, this does bring back memories. I myself am now an older man (72) and I remember my fathers tool box as a boy looked very much like this one. I recognize most of the tools that I can see and have used a good number of them. I too wish you still had the original. Well done. Del.

Well Carlos, they popped me out in this country way back in the 50's, had some tough years in the 60's, partyed in the 70's then someone took away my tie dyed T and said I should pay attention! I still try not to do that too much. But what ever trips ya trigga

Marketing is everything? You betraying the cause man! What kind a hippie are you anyway?
I supposed you?re right - as an American you?re right! The business of America IS business, and marketing ?is everything??!
The thing is, the images you?ve produced and show here reflect your heart and fundamentally contradict the credo - the amazing and absolutely American notion that the one who dies with the most wins? but what do I know? Perhaps Americans are right. Perhaps Americans do know what is best for everyone else? But Bush? God? is it possible? A more repulsive president than even the sickeningly detestable Richard Millhouse Nixon? Elected to a second term? YES? it is possible?
By the way ?Just a memory? is good - should make a quick sale and your friend happy!
Peace
C

That is a great old toolbox.. So full of great tools from the past. Your lighting is very dramatic and well done. Don.

Shame onn me, yes indeed it is true. But, I thought this image would now be the "original". He wanted to sell this item on EBay and only wanted a snap shot, but I suggested a more period look, marketing is everything, so this is the result, we worked in an old room stuffed full of things and used whatever was available to make it work, CAry

you trashed the original!? You don't mean you deleted it forever? I don't trash hardly anything...you should see my archives. (am a little neurotic about it have to admit) This I'd never have let go.

Hi Toni, thanks for the comment. No, the box is not floating, just isolated. I started out with a bunch of other props including a large mirror behind which showed the flash and all. It was interesting, but decided to clean it up as he was wanting this to sell the box, CAry. here is the original.

Delightful tones...rustic. Why does it look like the box is floating? I can't see a support...
