In the thumbnail version it appeared very homey and sweet, seen larger the effect gives it almost a haunting feel and antiquicated. Very interesting piece.

Mon dernier message electronic pour 2 semaines. Mercie Drilan. Je part ce soir pour l'ile de Saint Barthelemy ou les oiseaus chantent les plus belle chanson. Donc, jusqu'a mon retour du paradis. A bientot.

Assez!

I am using the Polaroid 4000. It works pretty well. Velvia is one of my favorite film but is not the best film for scanning to digital. I will be using the D70 for all my personal work from now on, except when I post some older images.

Thanks for the reply Andree, what type of scanner are you using? Good Luck and have fun on vacation, I would be interested to hear your opinion as to the differences of quality, particularly in tonal range, Cary

Hi Kurt: In fact velvia is a highly saturated film. I decreased the saturation on Photoshop. It is also a very slow film, which required a tripod for this shot. Thank you for your comment.

Hi Cary: I scan the negatives or slides in Photoshop. But I've just recently purchased the D70 and I am looking forward to see the difference. I am leaving for 2 weeks in March and will be using it to shoot on the island of St. Barth. Thanks for your comment.

I really like the lighting and composition of this shot. Velvia seems to me an unusual film choice for a quiet, pastel still life scene. But it certainly works, and with the fine grain could enlarge as big as you want to go. Best wishes, Kurt

Excellent Andree, I really like window light and how it fades rapidly to darkness, the soft luminescence it provides subjects, particularly through sheer type of curtains. Great effect, super work, as are all of your efforts. I see that you are shooting slide film, how do you get to your computer, does your processor load to disk or do you scan? I would prefer to use film, but never seem to get satisfactory results with image transfer, Cary
