About We have just one orchid in our veranda, my sister however has half a dozen, one lovelier than the other. The background is filled with other orchids. Shot from the hand, because I forgot the tripod.

Thanks Paula. Too bad I havn't seen this in the orchids myself. But maybe I find something similar in other shots.

Cheers, Markus

Markus, the white orchid is the one that hides most secrets. The petals look like sugar or iced snow. Beautiful.
Look waht I found inside one of these white orchids.

Exquisite. The exposure is tack on and the dark background makes the flower stand out. It's a good thing the b/g is out of focus. The compositon is well thought of, with a clear diagonal across.

Beautiful job on such a difficult subject! White orchids like this were tough for me because I always seemed to overexpose the whites and/or underexpose the colored parts. Good job, Markus.
