Teunis--I have no expertise at all, but I do think this is called "Digitalis," "Foxglove," or "Witches' Thimbles." --g

almost feels like water falling, instead of drops, weeping flowers.

Paul--I've been to Giverny in two successive years. The number of tourists is certainly excessive at best, but we managed to go fairly late in the day both times just as the buses were loading up to leave. Once that happens, you have a chance to see this really beutiful place. (And I don't even work for the Tourist Board!) --g

I passed through Giverny a few years ago on the way to Paris and stopped at a cafe in the village, I wish I'd seen some of these instead of all the other tourists - mind you I didn't go in the gardens! Lovely 'portrait' of these flowers and you've made good use of differential focus and the lighting is perfect.

"Monet" would entrust enchanted with the perfect framing and, mainly, the texture and the colors. Once again my congratulations.
