Yes, James, perhaps color selection would have worked better. I am pretty good at things, but time and sleep, or lack of it caught up with me. On the retouching and cost, indeed. I did an environmental portrait of a CEO. She was very attractive, but, allergies had her looking like a raccoon. She liked the results and gladly paid the bill.

how did you make the selection? -- Im thinking I would have color selected it. -- I know some other techniques are more likely to give you that line. -- selections are just a pain in general! -- but thats why we can charge so much for retouching! lol!

James, Yes there is a bit of a line, and it drove me a bit nuts too. I blurred the background a bit in photoshop, and the edge picked up the color of the wall. Trying to take it out made a mess of things, so I left it.

Thank you Margaret, this was a rose I gave my wife on Valentine's Day. I tracked down her car at the college she attends so it would be waiting for her when she returned. 27-years and we still feel like kids.

nice work... but there seems to be a small purple line aroud the flower that I cant help but notice. -- is that the lighting or is it from editing the shot?
