C'est une très belle composition, pleine de soleil baissant et de longues ombres ; un décor que je connais très bien. J'ai des arbrisseaux comme ça ici et ma compagne me demandait pourquoi ils avaient gardés leurs feuilles...je ne savais pas, mais je vais dorénavant faire le savant pour me faire admirer un peu ;)

When I was out for cross country skiing today I remembered your picture and shot this one for you. It's not an oak but a beech tree, but the same effect, the young ones keep their leaves, the old ones drop them.

I think that the little oak will speek different if it grows older. And drop its leaves. A beautiful almost pointillistic painting of heavy snowfall. I hope it's not a shot from now when everybody on the northern hemisphere is expecting spring already. We had the coldest night of the winter today (-17 degrees).
