I can't help myself but agree with the view that the city is swallowing down her past. And the sad part is it's not putting back anything good.

you have the luck to have the big multicultural and cosmopolitical city istanbul as your subject.
that hazerfan ahmet celebi chose the galata tower to start his flight was because of the towers being the highest building in the city ; a fire watching tower.
its a pity that the modern istanbul is swallowing down her past with a big velocity. but the mysticism of the city still tries to survive; i think it will for a long time; at least for those who can understand/recieve it...
