About This is another image that I took yesterday. I asked my daughter to name it for me and she did. I was surprised by the name, so I asked her why. I am not a publicly religous person but my children go to a private catholic school so I don't deny them their beliefs.

Her answer was there is a common myth that everything has gods feelings in them. And she was picking the grasses, therefore she was picking up gods feelings!!!

So there you go. In a way, I suppose she is right. With natures glory surrounding her, what else would she be doing.

Colours have not been enhanced.

Very astute child. The Eastern philosophies teach children not to harm trees, etc, because they will hurt the tree & it's feelings. In essence respect all life. Wise child, wonderful photo. Dottie

Children can have deep insights into the nature of reality. They don't have all the mental 'filters' that get drummed into us later in life.
I think this is a great silhouette shot and the detail of the grasses really add a special quality. I think that because they are kind of translucent they seem to transmit some of the light and maybe this is what your daughter interpreted as God's feelings..

Thanks Chris. I respect your opinion. My hubby is the religious one of us, although he does keep it to himself. I, on the other hand, do not practice religion. BUT....I do have beliefs that have come about through my own experiences. Experiences that others wouldn't understand unless they had been through it too. Therefore I am comfortable in that manner. Mind you, in our household I always tell people never to get my hubby onto the subjects of religion, science and politics....ugh!! You will never get away. LOL!!

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 3/6/2005
Wonderful shot and an interesting title, Judi!
My own belief is that God's feelings are really not that hard to "pick up" because He's written them in a Book and lived them out in front of us through a Person. And the predominant feeling I "pick up" is one of a passionate love for a world that's largely disowned Him.
Please excuse the sermon from someone who can't help but be 'publicly religious'. )
Great work with the photo!
Best regards, Chris
