About really poor this and must have ago but taken under pressure :)
aramoana
beauty spot
cursed by the massacre of 12 in 1990 by a soldier of fortune wannabe with a mail order ak47
cursed by god knows what else because the sea loving maoris didn't seem particularly interested in the spot for some reason i'm not privvy to before that.
last time i was here at night was months ago. plucked up courage again tonight cause of some aurora tonight on the horizon.
couldn't get there fast enough.
last time i was here left at night left in a panic having heard weird noises. a horse screaming noiose and a jabbering in the darkness noise.
tonight the sound of a gull at 01:00
that and the waves being beginning to blow across the sea break i'm standing on i begin walking with undignified haste back to the car.
fool i say and stop for a photo.
i get to the car i check the back seat of the car i drove home. peering occasionally over at the back seat.
next time i go when the moons up
preferably full (i'm not superstitious)
candles for light

Ian...let me just say that your SPIRIT is incredible. I entheuseastically admire that you went to this place with fear in your gut. That you did it with shortness of breath. That you (I hope) did so alone. THAT is the essence of life. To push yourself into that dark, lonely, mysterious corner...not for the sake not of anyone....but YOURSELF.

I understand that feeling. To go places where half of your brain says "stay home"....but the other half says "you will never forgive yourself if you don't do it". Ahhhhhhhhh......you are to be knighted by the sword of the photo-Gods. Good work, my friend! ..Brad

Oh ya big puss! They are just demons and ghosts and creatures what want ta rip yer living heart out and swallow yer soul. You little mama's boy... Just cause ya run away does not mean they canna follow you. They know where you live, man... they know where you live.

Aside from that... cool shot!
