About 2nd from a set of photographs taken during a privaledged and private showing of the show from the Chinese State Circus. These guys are from the Shaolin Temples and are the students who have formed a troop called the Wushu Shaolin Warriors. Unfortunately the lighting was very low and I was very limited to settings to get the best results. These guys move like lightening and when you have tried to pre-empt their move it is already too late. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to use flash for the images, again a scenario which is banned during public performances. This was the first and only time that the performers wore their stage costumes during rehersals, which was laid on for the benefit of my camera before the start of a new tour. A lottery win could not replace the privaledge and memories of this one off experience. Regards....Phil

I think it is an excellent shot. Good detail and very good color. The warrior in the front almost looks like he is going to jump out of the frame.I also like their expressions. Considering the circumstances this is a great job. Good work.

Thank you for your comment Ori, I agree with your views about the amount going on within my pic however I had to work at the same speed that the show was moving. I did not have the oppertunity to stop and pose the characters. The organisers also wanted the images to show as much action as possible to convey the message of excitement and speed. I think I may have done this, more to come.
Regards.....Phil

The exposure is actually not so bad but I find this frame a bit too loaded with details.
