About Usually cows give birth to only 1 animal. If they have twins and one of them is male the other is refered to as a Freemartin, as it is usually sterile. It may be female but take on male characteristics. It is often slaughtered because it can't be a bull and mate but it might try to and it can't give birth so it is just a drain on raising animals and is thinned from the herd.
