The lens distortion, very obvious right? Does it hurt the image or is it interesting? If you think it is detrimental to the image, any suggestions? can it be corrected in photoshop, are there filters? Thanks!
Thanks so much for the advice! I looked up PTlens and it will not work on a mac, but I did find a pointer to LensFix for Macs; unfortunately this one is not free ;-(
I really like these color tones. But if I may... since you asked, compositionally speaking, I fell that this shot would have more impact if there was only one focal point instead of two. In my opinion, I would crop out the far window which seems the weakest because of the shallow depth of field which would bring more attention to the beautiful lines of the down spout and brick wall. After that I would flip the frame horizontally so that the flow would be from left to right.
gaja, this is a great shot. love the great use of lines and the colors. the barrel distortion is something that drives me nuts on my own images, so i may be biased here-that being said i think it'd be better without.
thilo bayer just referred me to a PS plug-in called PT Lens. it's free online and works wonderfully. cheers, todd
