This is a typical board walk in Kampung Ayer i.e. Water Village.
The total combine length of the wooden walkways in Kampung Ayer could easily reach tens kilometre if not hundred kilometre!
The houses/structures are interconnected via this maze of walkway.
And the one on the left, with the blue railings, is a primary school.
Most of the structures in Kampung Ayer are built from a wooden stilts, but they are also nowadays, numerous structures built on concrete columns, and some are even multi storeys high!
The day was about to rain, when this pix was taken, and this was taken during a public holiday, hence it seems to be "empty" coz the people might prefer to saty indoors or go for a family outings somewhere...
