About Out in the Everglades came across this couple fishing. Look closely next to his chair on the ground on the left. I watched a gator get too close he bopped him on the head with the pole and away he swam. This is my son's favorite fishin' hole and my favorite photographing spot for wildlife. That's a little too close though!

Steve, Last year there was an episode where my son caught a fish but before it was in his hand fell off the hook to the bank and "3" gators came swimming for it. One came out and took it and I did snap a pic before we got back in the car. My son was more worried about the fish than us! LOL He still loves fishing there. Marilyn

Errr hmmmmm as much as I enjoy fishing .... I don't think so lol

Excellent capture Marilyn, I would not be surprised if the gators chased the fish that were on the line - like the Northern Pike do over here.

And I know which predator I would face between the two lol

Best wishes,
Steve

Den, No you're correct. It was the pole next to his chair on the ground is how he fends off gators that get too close while he's fishing. But they do like to sun themselves on the bank. My son is 14 and CRAZY he and loves to taunt the gators, that's what scares ME. Marilyn
