No, I wasn't asking about the dust spot. I thought maybe I was seeing effects of sharpening. However too much sharpening adds white specks not black so I was wrong to think that way. Sorry for bugging you MK.

The dark spot on the beach is from a piece of dust on the lens. I rushed these along as snapshots. In the images that I feel are better I do some cleaning up.

I can't believe how calm the ocean is. Beautiful capture.
This may be just my screen or my eyes but I'm wondering about the small black dots on the beach and part of the wave washing over. Are those a by-product of sharpening or camera not being happy in low light?
Either way, it's a great looking image.
