Bela Macro Roberto, cores bem fortes!
Fiquei curioso pra saber que inseto era esse e achei na internet:

Pulgão - Aphis gossypii
Os adultos são pequenos insetos providos ou não de asas, com cerca de 1 a 3mm de comprimento, formato de pera e coloração variável de amarelo claro ao verde-escuro. Se localizam na face inferior das folhas e eventualmente no broto terminal e pecíolos. Causam encarquilhamento das folhas e deposição de substâncias açucaradas sobre as fibras, originando o "algodão doce" de baixa qualidade para a fiação.

As formigas se alimentam desta "deposição" ou excremento, por isso o mutualismo!

Interesting capture, your title is godd description of the interaction of the two insects. The ants do not eat the aphids(even protect them),but collect the sweet discharge given by the aphids for this mutually benifitting
relationship.
