i couldn't have said it any better than russ. this is a tight image. there's lots that i like, but what really gets me is your eye, the way the hands are placed and the fabulous tone on the skin. gawd, i love your work.

This is probably the lightest I've ever seen your work Jay. It's quite beautiful and very striking, especially the strong sidelight. Both of you look radiant in this captured moment. So real, so warm and so deeply human. Even here though, even taking this with the smile in your eye you still add a little edge... in the deepening shadow of which there is much, in that oh so slightly ambiguous expression, in the fact you've chosen to partially hide yourself. Just a tiny bit of darkness amidst all that light: for how empty would be the light without the dark. No wonder your work perpetually grips and will not let me go. Your art, your life, out here for us all to see, to feel, to love. Thank you Jay.

What a magical, almost elfin energy in the eyes shines forth here. I love the tones and textures especially. The composition, placing the figures centrally, feels less than dynamic, though, and it feels (to my eye at least) like it needs cropping from our left. But I sense that you wanted to put the figure on the left central because he is the one being embraced by the other figure--you in fact--hence he is being presented to us. What a striking and beautiful portrait of a striking and beautiful couple.

Hello Jay! I'm glad I found yor portfolio, It's very interesting and unusual, In this particular image, I like the light and tone, the pose is very sensual and playful, the only thing bothering me is the geaometric/sharp edge on the left guy head (viewer side) overall a great image.
Looking forward to see more of your creativity :)
