Thanks for the thaught, Alison. I wanted to try to show the rose in the tiny water lenses (very small here), so may have been somewhat unsuccessful. I however liked the effect, even though my initial goal was not completely successful. You may be right about the cropping to give a more balanced picture, and it may be a good candadite for some digital art and colour manipulation in PS. I may try something with it sometime. Bryan

Bryan this is a great shot the reflectionsint the dropkets catch your eye and get the imagination going as to what they could be ( the reflection that is) I love the colors in the ice is wonderful as you say makes one think of grapes. In my ignorance I might have cropped it a little closer at the bottom. What would happen if you gave the red haze a purple tinge? Just a thought. Love it.

I too couldn't figure out what it was, now that I read it's a flower, I still can't :) Great abstract - interesting shapes and colors!

Thanks, Markus. It was a macro of a flower (don't ask me the species right now), the water drops clung nicely to the underside of it, and created a pleasing effect. I used a flash to highlight the background (a rose) behind the flower (as well as the purple flower itself) so that it could be magnified by the water drops in an interesting pattern.

How interesting, Bryan. Can't figure out what it is, except the water drops. But the composition is quite impressive.
Cheers, Markus
