Excellent composition with great colors. I like the background flowers that seem to run around the foreground one as if they were in a vortex; they create a lovely frame inside the frame.

You know, I've never seen a cactus having so many flowers like this. I used to have some, but the flowers bloom one at a time (and last for less than a day...)

However, they are going to be closing (some 're structuring in Old Town) and will be opening in Grossmont shopping center...This is NOT the place to go for an outdoor lunch. LOL

This sounds like a prickly pear cactus. The bloom can have different colors but this is the most ususal kind. They have such vibrant colors that you have captured so well. I just saw the small image below and it is not the prickley pear variety. Don
