Hi Joe, I like your still life series very much. For me htis is my favourite because it has the most harmonious and balanced feeling for me, but they are all very good. Nice work! Thanks for your comments too! Omar

Very nice! Love the alignment with the tops of the glasses, and the general arrangement creates nice patterns. I'd prefer some more space around the subject. The space at the bottom is nice, but it's really tight on the left and right, and a bit tight on top.

This was actually one of the photos, here, that inspired me to start playing around with kitchen-table/studio setups with glass and light, seen in my, Glass, gallery. This is a simple backlit against a white sheet, I would assume. But aligning the top, the rims, as you did, is just right. And this photo does stay with you. The fuzziness actually complements the harsh lighting. It's a good idea in that. It's very good, very well done.

Excellent shot, the idea is not new, but the technique is more different and creative, i like them adjusted to the same line using the perspective and angle in a good way, the tones also adds alot because of the superb lighting i guess, well done

In my experience its all about controlling the light in the studio. If you managed to do this and get this result then you are to be congratulated...well done. You are well on your way...

Hi Debby! I am flattered from your comment! This is taken from a studio with studio lighting. I have not use the black and white setting. If i were to set to b&w, i would use photoshop to do it(desatuarate it), in this way i can want it in colour or b&w! I am always at colour mode and set to parameter 1 in 20D, cos they give me better and sharper image. Cheers!

Joe, I really like this shot. The b/w tones are very nice and well carried into the framing. You did a very good job positioning the two outside glasses so that they'd be seen through the center glass.
I notice that you used the Canon 20D so I'm wondering if you used the b/w setting? We just bought a 20D a few weeks ago and I haven't tried that setting yet. -- Debby
