Like this a lot, for the same reasons you mention, and it seems to float in it's own space. The shaded areas add to a sense of intrigue. Valuable to carry the compact so as to catch great stuff like this on the hoof.

Very nice shot the tones and detail are wonderful, very nice vision.. I see you are using my ex camera, I see it still can produce some great results. I have since upgraded to a 20D and a D70 I found the D70 Lacking in many ways and stuck with the 20D much faster focusing....
