About A took this shot of this suberb late evening rainbow from my house in Glossop, which overlooks the Pennine Hills. The image was taken on maximum digital zoom, which has had an effect on the sharpness of the image, but I think it still works as a photo. Hope you like it.

Jeff: As you say, "it's nice to see another part of the world's natural landscape and wildlife..." Thanks for posting your images of your homeland for our enjoyment. We want to visit someday soon.

It's now a blizzard outside here in Frisco, Colorado. The bird feeders have been refilled but it's tough out there for them right now. Since we are still in a drought, we are glad for the moisture but it does make for a dismal gray day. Perhaps we will get out and walk to the Post Office soon if the snow relents a bit.

I've never understood why the inside of a rainbow is lighter, it has happened on all my shots of rainbows too. Anyway, a very nice shot and as you've posted the wide angle version I can say I like the cropping too.

Terrific rainbow capture, Jeff. Very nice color. As to the digital zoom, I think most of the "experts" tell you to forget you have it as you are just cropping in the camera instead of doing it later in the computer. Best wishes, Larry
