Thanks Margaret, I originally took the shot of the glass on a plexiglass table with my new softbox light. ThAt was the start of the idea. I then rotated the glass , hence the black frame *(I don't like this aspect personally.) I then added a picture on a different layer of the ice and then just used the fade control in PS to get the balence I thought was appropriate. I also addede a lens flare filter which tended to enhance the brightness of the over exposure in the glass. I feel it is the reflection of the glass off the plexiglass that really makes this pic. Hope this gives you a little insight of what I did. Simple PS effects on a pic that was (so, so).

Looks like your PS skills are doing pretty good. I am not sure that I like the lens flare effect. The way that it extends over the framing just does not seem right. I can only imagine how many layers you must have used. From a fellow PS learner, great job.

What a cool idea! Can't wait to see what else you are planning on doing with it! Are you by chance working with layers???

looks good to me. I like the framing effects, I'm still trying to learn all of that stuff. Dottie

James this is really different and intersting, cannot figure out how you did it either. Would love to know - I'm not a PS expert by any means , but if there is anything I can help with - just let me know. If you want to e mail anytime my adr is Margaretsturg@aol.com. Are you thinking of using this as a table setting? Margaret
