There's nothing like a 10 mm lens (in the hands of a good photographer) to make a great cloudscape! Very nice work.

What a powerful sky!! I also like Nick's version, but I think each format has its own taste and beauty!

Just a great shot with fantastic technique Carsten! IMHO, I love it just the way it is. Without the foreground it,s just not the same shot. Well done! Best Wishes Peter

What a dramatic scene. Really gorgeus. It seems coming out from the screen. Eli:-))

I really like the photo, feels like the clouds are right on top of you. Looks almost like a scene from The Wizard of OZ.

Hi carsten. very dramatic! Actually a little too dramatic for me :) It feel a little heavy to me with those very dark clouds. Or maybe it is the combination of the dark adjustment in combination with the blue toning.
Nick has a point saying that the forground is a little busy without actually showing something, but I think it is very important to have it in for reference and perspective as you said.
Anyway, it is a very strong photo with a strong impact. I rahter see photos that really push in one direction that trying to please the widest possible audience. The world of advertising is full of that already :)

Don, thanks for stopping by ! Not that much work. Before I had my 10-22 mm zoom lens I had to stitch three to four single shots together for this FOF, that was really hard work... Now its about 15 minutes

Hi Nick: I like what you have done with the crop. Makes a great pano format. My intention with the foreground was to add a scaling factor with the buildings and enhance the impression of vastness for the sky. Thanks for your comment !

Hi Carsten, You have created quite a nice mood with this landscape. The blue toning looks like the darkroom photos that I used to make. Very nice. Don You sure go to a lot of work in preparing these pictures.

Hi Carsten, a bold effort to capture a dramatic sky. If I may be critical, I would say that the combination of the featureless foreground, the clutter of the buildings on the left and the very large sky are a bit confusing / distracting. I applied a crop to the shot to make it a more apparent panorama and draw the eye into a sweeping and dramatic landscape. Ciao, Nick
