There was not any swirling effect. As you can see at my portfolio "Dama da Noite", the androceu of the flower as that aspect.
The unique effect applyed was the "negative effect" of PSP.

there are more or less five centimeters between the aster and the inner tunnel and the petals are glister white...

very good DOF and exposure-- hard to get so much detail on the white flowers-- usually so much gets washed out.
