michael, just want to say thank you for really looking at the details of this foto. and you are right - the convergence of the sand pattern was very subtle and only lasted for a few minutes. as the sun rose, this pattern vanished. and I think I fotographed this at 15mm if I am not mistaken. thanks again.

Notable for the waves of lines converging from opposite directions and for the excellent exposure control and deep depth of field -- nice!

GG this foto was one of the biggest reasons I purchased the Shen Hao. The added detail in the background would have been very valuable. BTW, this coming weekend I make my first fotos with the SH!!! So maybe I only make garbage with the first fotos but hopefully I will see the beauty of large format very soon :)))

I give this a 7 - mostly great composition and treatment, but especially for the location. The convergence of two wind patterns on this hill is a great subject that most would overlook.
Great toning, framing, and a nice wide lens to show a pull of interest between near and far.
