About This was taken from a rolling yacht. The island is covered with seals and usually surrounded by great white sharks. The sharks we didn't see unfortunately. I know it needs more definition and has a whole lot wrong. Was taken on full zoom without a tripod so was fairly pleased under the circumstances. How could I have changed settings on full zoom for a better shot?

Hi Alison, Per attached the crop I suggested It shows less, but at times less is more, as it leaves more to the viewers' imagination, and can emphasise certain aspects, like the birds in this case.

Cheers,

Hugo

I think that a little color balancing would improve the technical aspect of the shot. But under the cirscumtances, it is better to get a shot than none. Also, I wonder how useful a tripod was on a rolling yacht...Cheers, Andree

That is a lot of seals, good shot - and particularly given the circumstances. Sorry I am not too good on the technical side cannot help
