A bit of an overcast day, I guess. It has really helped to emphasize the sadness of mood. The little girl's figure stands out very well. The overhanging old trees are spectacular. Good choice of depth of field. Quite the photograph!

thank you Mary or is it just that she had a long day? and yes these were such wonderful trees. my one regret -- I didn't have a wider lens. I personally think that a wider perspective would have added so much more to this foto :)

Beautiful composition. What a wonderful tree. She looks like she might be sad. But, maybe she's playing 'Hide and Seek' with her friends and it's here turn to hide her eyes.
