Yow Geert, My attention was immediately drawn by the tight geometrical composition and perspective. The boy waiting adds just that piece of detail and life the picture needs to get complete.

Hello Geert! Thanks again for Your comments on My "closing time" photo! MUCH appreciated! This is a very good street photo Geert!Nice perspective and good tones! The shadows are also good here! The people give a nice feeling of life going on. The only minor critique I would make would be to stand at such an angle that You would not see the bus and street traffic through the columns. Only a suggestion, otherwise well done Geert! Take care!My best................John

Hi Geert before I made a comment I had to search in the Google for your camera, though took me quite a while, but I was amazed to find out the details. It must be worth a fortune if its in good condition. I have quite a collection of cameras myself but not one of yours. Nice of you to give the detail.
Kind regards.

Dear M. Zafar Rabbani,
thanks for the nice input. You're right: scanner noise and some dust from the original print. The jpg also creates too many artefacts, making the person's face blurry.
Your adapted version (I guess you played with the curves) is very nice but the ceiling comes out a bit too light.
BTW, did you know this was shot with a camera from 1938, 'guestimating' focus and quickly handmetering the scene?
Geert

Excellent composition and beautiful use of light. Human presence in th frame has added warmth in the image. Mood of the picture going with the title of the image. Beautifully rendered.
The image shows a bit of noise from the scanner which is a bit distracting and the shadows and midtones lack presence. This has lead to a softer image. Anyway this small bit does not take away anything from the high aestheitc value of the picture.
Overall an excellent capture.
Kind regards.

Geert,
From the recent posts I like this one the most. It tells a story. So, for me, that?s easier to look at then the others. They are more abstract to me. (But they are all really nice)
The composition and exposure is superb. The person is just waiting in a spark of sunlight. He is almost posing for this shot.
