About Tough day to use a long lens... Strong wind was blowing things around enough that things turned out fairly soft even from the tripod. Two of the three young are visible, and the other is tucked down out of the wind on the left. They wouldn't cooperate and all face forward at the same time...

No secret, but these guys are a whole bunch easier to see before the leaves come out on the trees, which is starting to happen around here on the big cottonwoods these guys call home. I would like to get some more pic's of this family b4 the young fledge, but the weather and light haven't been very cooperative lately. Such is life. Thanks for your comments Marilyn!

Kerry, Amazing shot with mom and babies. I too have heard where the owls are but haven't been able to capture them yet. What's your secret. Thanks kindly for your comment on my osprey photo. Marilyn

Thanks James... I have to be honest on this one, in that I was alerted to this spot by my parents, who live out of town and commute in to the city every day, and pass this nest on their way in. Other than that, just like your pic's I'm sure, it's just a matter of being in likely places and having the camera with you. Thanks again,
Kerry

You did well with this one considering the circumstance. Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my pics. Maybe you can share with me HOW you locate these owls. I have lots of them around the area(species type I'm not sure of) but have NO idea on how to go about finding them.

Thanks Dave... I'm waiting for a day when we get some decent late afternoon light, as the nest "faces" almost due west, and up 'til now all I've been able to get them with is strong back or sidelight...
