About We don't have kangaroo's and we don't have Koala's, but we do have our very own marsupial. North America's ONLY marsupial the Opossum is generally a nocturnal animal. I was fortumate to run across this guy and his or her mate (I think) in the pouring down rain this morning around dawn.

Focal Length 400 mm.

What a strange looking creature. Looks like he is having a bad hair day and a nose cold to go with it. LOL!! Well done.

A wonderful, sharp, shot of the possum, Jim. Usually not a day person. Great capture! Larry

They are soooo cute at this age. I love the soft-looking fur they have. They always look like they are smiling. I would have called this "Snaggle Tooth". :) Very cute photo - my dog would go crazy if she saw this right now...

Nice catch of him, Jim! This is pretty unusual to get him in daylight! Good job.

Thanks Alison, actually they did kind of 1/2 and 1/2. The other one did, but when I started to get back in the truck (moved towards them) this little guy started to run off and then stopped. It was funny, I was set up and they just kept coming closer and closer to me. A wildlife photographers dream:)
