This will be the last picture I'll post about the funeral. I believe people don't like to see those pictures. This is the moment when Munamma, the husband light the piles of cow dung recovering Ganambal. This is a low-middle class funeral. All the people behind were, or family, or neighbors. The beginning of the ceremony took place in front of their house.
I find your photographs about the funeral very interesting. I agree with Jeanette, the ritual shown in your images feels more appropriate as a good bye. Death is very much part of life...Cannot be denied. I like this composition very much. Regards, Andree
Well, i have to say that i don?t like how we in Sweden (and all europe) think about the death and how we threat the dead body! Therefore i see this more natural and which what should be normal for all of us. Excellent capture Claude and such luck they allowed you too be there and capture the moment.
