About	My Dad planted this tree right after my grandmother's heart attack and heart surgery. The doctors said she was not going to live, and this tree was not blooming that spring. She miraculously recovered, and so did the tree, so we named it after her. Now it blooms beautifully every spring. I am getting a Sigma 50mm EX DG MACRO lens soon. I love macro photography! OK back to studying for finals :(

I agree, Larry, I could probably make it a vertical photo to make the middle pop out a bit more. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment, Mary. I would have liked a little bit more of a gradual blur to the edge but that would take a lot of patience in PSP :)

Nice story, Pat, and a nice sharp shot. It would probably benefit from some cropping to emphasize the in focus bloom. Regards, Larry

That is a fabulous name for your tree. Grandmothers are wonderful people. This is a beautiful composition. The full background with the central detailed section looks really good.
