Yes they are skittish I have several shots of these guys though, but the male doesn't have his plumage all puffed out in my shots! :( Pretty ducks btw! :)

Are these for real Dave? From the title I was expecting to see a couple of decoys but close inspection tells me they're alive. I've never ever seen one. What fabulous colours.

Beautiful Dave, I want so bad to get a picture of a wood duck. I had the opportunity the other day while sitting in my blind but I didn't have my ISO pushed up so I couldn't get a good clean shot (it came out blurry) while he was swimming. Live and learn, I will get on one of these days.
