Hi Alison. Bracketing means to take shots at different exposure levels to what your exposure meter sais. One darker, one lighter, and one at the suggested level. Its a bit of a trial and error method to get the right exposure.

The protea interrupts the patterns of the leaves to the right nicely, Alison. I may have considdered giving it less exposure, though (try bracketing for this type of shot).
