I agree. It's a shame that the advent of digital photography has largely forced manufacturers to abandon MF camera production. I left a suggestion that you use a lens hood under the photo selected for the FD award. The lack of coating is not the only thing that can cause this, though. Sometimes the cement attaching lens elements goes cloudy. Or there might be fungus in the lens. This happens in OLD cameras. I love the quality of B&W that 6 x 6 negatives give, and I am really enjoying your images. I'm thinking of purchasing a 6 x 6 camera myself, so may be joining you soon!

Hello, I've A Rolleiflex too but younger (from 1955 !! :)) ) I agree with you, Tessar resolving power is awesome, I had also other two Rolleiflex with a Planar 3,5 and a Planar 2,8 but the sharpess of Tessar is unique! At the end I sold the two Planar versions and I still have the Tessar. I consider it a great camera also for street photography. The lens (75mm) is a little bit wider than 80mm so you can focus better and you are not obliged to stay with your eye close to the camera.
I suggest you to look for a ligh shade, if you don't find the original one you could look for the Yashica Mat one, it works also on Rolleiflex. You will see a lot of benefit in the contrast (do we need more with a Tessar??!? :) )and the mid tones
Bye

Hello! The thing the hit me the most about this double portrait was the emotions and expressions of the father and child! the way you capture this everyday seen and turned it into a simple of trust and dependents is fantastic Also I like the way you didn?t include the final destination in the image! which leaves the viewer wondering! Good work :) 7/7
Congratulations on your new camera :)

The man's clothes fit with your retro approach as well. Nicely composed, this one as well as the other "squares" you have shown recently.
