Beautiful Paul... thank you for sending the link over. I love the darkness here & the way the sun resembles a star.. the reflection is perfect.. very well seen & well captured.

Thank you for your continued support, your comments are appreciated as always.

Paul this is really fabulous, it's almost like two pictures. I love what you did with the flare and the way the sun is reflecting on the water...this is a really well thought out and creative image, with a lot of repetition, making for a very interesting composition. You have the mountain and it's reflection, the sun and it's reflection, the sky and it's reflection, and then the wonderful effects from the flare along with the foreground with it's well lit outline of the water's edge...very well seen, captured and presented Paul...I've been away and I'm still catching up on commenting....:):)Linda

I like the texture in this shot - the water, the mountains, the dirt. Very cool and that sun! Love it - looks like I see a mirage... :)

I like that you included more of the reflection and the ground than the sky.
Good composition my friend,

Hi Paul, The reflection in the water is indeed wonderfull! The colours of the glance at the foreground are wonderfull as well! The reflection of the mountain in the water is really nice too, indeed a moody landscape. I mostly like the shape of the sun, the thick beams in the form of a starr, wonderfull job!!

Greets,
Lex.

Thanks.. actually I have other shots without the bottom.. I like it both ways, but decided to post this version since the bottom adds a bit of depth.. but I like the cropped version as well.. I guess I should have posted both versions LOL

The landscape enhanced by the additional of the reflection of the sun in the still water, the tone arrangement result in inspirational image, the fore ground has just enough light to show ground details while the background has its attractive silhouette. Great capture. Saeed

Interesting experiment. I think that cropping a little off the bottom would strengthened the composition.

Thanks Roger.. that is interesting about the cosmetic line... I am sure it was a successful product :) your right about digital vs film, for some things digital is easier at but there are some things that film is still the king..

Nice Excercise...with Lighting Flares....Paul!
I find that the Sun Flares...are a Characteristic...with the Digital Camera...and Cand Be used to Good Purpose When...Photographing directly...into the Sun!!!

Jeff.

Lovely, Paul. I once named a summer cosmetic line for Shiseido "Solar Flair" so this title really reverberated with me. I think having a digital camera must have helped with getting this precise effect. With film, I would have had to bracket every which way to even have a chance of getting anything this good.
