a very interesting image, for me, it is a very feministic ,strong image, although the women are models for ski.But this is how I perceive it , I hope you don't bother my train of thought.Once more, you show your witty spirit!7.

Great symbolism and sadly your about seems true...there is such strength in the eyes of these women and i love the blue/black combo...very well executed,Mark...did ya ever see the tank enclosed by a fence image i posted in the summer? Received an interesting mix of comments about that one!...one "hawkbushwacker-guy" commented to another commenter on my image, but said nothing to me about my image..LOL..
Thanks so much for your concern about my spine probs. and yes am very interested in anything you know further about trying another form of treatment as i,like millions of other americans, don't have any health insurance and i'm beyond tired of the pain! No accident involved, just degenerative stuff and will give more details in an email if you want...no, haven't read that specific book, but have 2 which are quite good with explaining what probs. could be and treatment options..anyway, will look for that book...regards,gayle

Hmmm...yes. I've always found it easier to listen when I'm not talking, however.

Yeah, but I'm not saying people should shut up. I'm saying that No One listens to the people anymore (at least around here) Unless they own some giant company like, say United Airlines for example. Oh well......

Well, the world probably would be a better place if people shut up every once in a while and looked around them. Have you read "The Canterbury Tales"? I just read it last month and the moral of the Nun's Priest's Tale is everyone should just shut up.

Dear Angelo, I see what you mean about the eye. This is a full frame straight off the slide scanner (but I'm sure there's some image left under the mount that would show the entire eyeball if I shifted it slightly with a cloth glove or something). As far as the other part of your comment I've had a few problems in the past with my outspoken / opinionated political nature on UF so these days I'm very weary to say anything, I like the site and the friends I have here (especially the international ones) so I will be basically sticking to travel work. With that said this shot is NOT about Arabic/Muslim Women at all and in fact, unlike some of my fellow countrymen and women that want to remake the world to their own liking I would NEVER, in a million years, tell another culture or country how they should conduct their affairs - it's not my place plus IMO it's pretty rude and arrogant ( I feel the world is much more interesting with all it's differences even though those are slowly going away). Being a US citizen and tax payer, I feel I only have a right to comment about my own Government's actions if I'm going to comment at all. (but that's not to say this shot is about that topic what so ever). If people from other places / cultures relate to it then they must feel the same way I do to some degree and that's what's great about communicating through artistic methods. The model's are Southern Italian and they're wearing ski face masks for skiing when it's VERY cold (I PS'ed - cloned out - the little breathing holes around the mouth to make the masks all black). Thanks for your countinuous support, Mark PS. Hello Arwa, nice to see you visiting my page again - please stop by more often. Hope you feel better.

It's in the eyes. They communicate so much.
Mark, if I may be so bold I would like to suggest that you either fully include the eye on the left, or fully crop it out. Eyes are so important, it is disturbing when they are cut in half.
Interesting commentary in your pic. It is easy to assume that this is about Arab or Muslim women, with the hidden faces etc. I don't particulary want to jump to that conclusion, as I think maybe your message is more generic.

why bother and talk! Very deep! The costume, crop and make up all convey different messages, where are they from? what do they have to say?! Their looks are full with melancholy and frustration Very powerful my friend 7/7
