Looks very artistic. The composition works great with the sil. and transparent wings. I think the slightly blurred image adds to the magic realism of this perspective. Very well done.

Hiya Arwa. Not much you can do if its not in focus in the first place. Using sharpen and unsharp mask only helps a little bit, particularly when using digital files. I know its frustrating when you spend so much time chasing these insects to get a shot thats not clear. I spent over 3 hours photographing those little wasps last week and I got hundreds of soft images (dont tell anyone that tho, its a secret between you and me hahahaha )and only about 10 clear ones. Just take heart that your composition skills and ideas for shots are working really well which to me are the most important skills you could learn, and more technical practice will ensure that you get a sharp shot first time :) ps what time of day is it where you are now. Its 11.45 am on a crisp early winters day here.

hi david! :) I was hoping that no one would notice, yes its too soft! I did a lot unsharpining mask trying to fix it but it didn?t work plus the area between the wings from the right and the branch became too noisy I had to remove the notice and blur Your not being cruel Just tell me if theres a way to fix it? ;)

The silhouette of the wings is the thing I like most Arwa showing the details of them... Great work and tones. Looks like I should give it a try to capture some dragon flies :0) Thanx for sharing my friend, Khaled.

Another beauty from the dragonfly queen! :) Your attachment made me laugh - he really does look like he's giving you that "what's your problem?" look! I absolutely love the treatment you gave to the main photo, though - it goes well beyond a simple silhouette! The vignetting, the tones and the detail in the wings are all excellent. Such a great sense of mystery about this, and the perspective even gives the little dragonfly an air of grandeur and power! Very nicely done!
