Thank you Chris! Trust me, if you try out the Canon 100-400 IS lens, you'll end up buying it :) It's a wonderful lens and I don't know what I would do without it now. I use a tripod most times, but for those times (such as these photos), it comes in really handy to hand hold it with the IS on. I've gotten sharp photos hand held as low as 1/15. Granted that's on my good day when I'm not too shakey, but I have gotten it. I'm totally impressed with this lens.

This is a wonderful shot Beverly, I really like the way you have the subject in perfect focus right Before the DOF starts to blur. very nice colors and detail, great perspective...

Thank you Angelo! Much appreciate your kind comments :)
Thank you Rob! This was taken at the Irishtown Park. I was disappointed to see the feeders were down, but I guess I got lucky to get these photos. I think he was hiding in a nearby tree when I passed by. I think this one was curious what my camera and lens was and decided to take a closer look...lol. I saw 3 of these birds before I left.

Beverly, I agree with Fred. The main photo pose is absolutely excellent and the fence makes a beautiful additionto the composition, directing the eye.
See, this kind of thing makes me sick with envy. You buy a new camera (and a very nice one too, with a brilliant lens to boot!), you go out to your park and you come out with a cracker like that. Meanwhile, I try and try and can't get such a good shot... Life just isn't fair! :)
Congrats on a lovely shot.

Here's another pose. This one he's ready to fly away and was the last shot I got.

Thank you Hesham!! I really appreciate your comments! I haven't had a lot of time lately to upload photos or comment as I've been taking a photo marketing course this year and it's keeping me very busy.
Thank you Fred for your comments! I was wondering what the name was of this bird :) He was so beautiful. I got 6 shots of him before he flew away.
I'm uploading another couple of photos of him. I'm not sure which one I like better.

This is a beautifully taken picture Beverley, the details of the plumage is so clear and sharp. Could be great for a bird field guide book.
Best regards, Hesham

Beverley: Excellent shot of a Myrtle Yellow-rumped Warbler in breeding plumage. I love the pose you caught him in and the fence is a wonderful compositional piece. Good start. Keep at it.
