Hi James, You make excellent photos. I haven't been out to shoot butterflies for a while caused my moving to a new apartment. The weather i HK is now very hot and the butterflies are not very active. If you the places I prefer is in Tai Po. In Tai Po Kau Reserver you will find the old forest and it only here you can find the Common Birdwing. You can other species too. Visit my homepage for more butterflies. www.fotop.net/Steenheilesen Another place is north of Tai Po station called Fung Yuen. Here is also a lot of butterflies. You can also find butterflies in all parks in HK. Here you can find flowers too.

An excellent butterfly macro of this strange looking insect. The false head makes you look twice. The colours have been captured very life-like and it is well composed.
Thanks.
